AET TechOps
Our large jet aircraft with functional systems serve dual roles: applied learning laboratories in Part 147 Aeronautical Engineering Technology coursework, and simultaneous research test platforms through the Hangar of the Future on Data Science and Industry 4.0 frameworks (e.g. IIoT, Digital Process Engineering and Visualization, Digital Thread, Augmented/Virtual Reality and Robotics). This greatly facilitates rapid scale-up and readiness testing of research in the context of a dynamic ramp/line maintenance environment.

G-IV Quick Facts:
Manufacturer: Gulfstream Aerospace
Origin: USA
First Flight: 1985
Produced: 1985-2018
900+ aircraft manufactured
Gulfstream began as an offshoot from Grumman Aircraft in the 1950's. In the 1980’s Gulfstream and Grumman collaborated to produce the Gulfstream IV business jet, an evolution of the Gulfstream III. The GIV set a number of world records for its class, thanks to its relatively high speed.
Gulfstream GIVs are primarily owned and operated by businesses and private individuals. Due to its high speed and military heritage in Grumman, it found service as a high-speed transport with many air forces and government agencies around the world, including the USAF.
CRJ 100 Quick Facts:
Manufacturer: Bombardier Aerospace
Origin: Canada
First Flight: 1991
Produced: 1991-2006
1,021 aircraft manufactured
The CRJ was Canada’s first jet airliner, and was developed from the existing Bombardier Challenger 600 business jet. Its CF-34 General Electric turbofan engines are derived from the military TF-34 engines, which are still used to power the A-10 Thunderbolt II.

CRJ variants can still be found in service with SkyWest, Air Wisconsin, Endeavor Air, and more internationally. In 2020, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries purchased the CRJ product line from Bombardier for the purposes of continuing MRO support.
